Quran Competition for Moroccan Children Planned on Prophet’s Birth Anniversary

IQNA – The first nationwide Quran competition for children who are memorizers of the Holy Book will be held in in Morocco’s Assa City,

Assa is a small town in southern Morocco, in the Assa-Zag province of the Guelmim-Oued Noun region.

According to marrakechalaan, the competition will be organized as part of special activities to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

It is aimed at encouraging children and young people to memorize the Quran and strengthen spiritual values among them.

The competition will take place in two regional and national divisions so that the largest number of participants from different regions of Morocco will have the opportunity to participate.

Several official institutions, including the Governorate of Assa-Zag, and regional councils are sponsors of this competition.

It will be held in coordination with the local scientific council and the regional representative office of Islamic affairs.

The organizing committee has allocated cash prizes for winners to motivate the participants, with the first prize at the national level being 45,000 dirhams.

Also, at the regional level, the first place winner will receive 15,000 dirhams.

The Quranic event will be an important opportunity to honor the Quranic efforts of Moroccan children and adolescents and their activities in serving the Book of God, according to organizers.
